A full-window navigation console for the Vesper Reach, a fictional seven-planet system, in strict black with inner-shadow glass panels. Planets and ships are drawn from particles and hairlines on a 2D canvas. The system map drifts on a tilted chart with a degree bezel and a light mouse parallax; hover a planet to light its orbit, click it and the camera flies into it while the planet screen builds itself around it: a row of planets, the selected one under a hologram of meridians, points of interest, orbit rings and a measurement arc, with a panel for status, description, inhabitants, surface data and the trip from where you are. Plot a course and the vessel screen shows three ships as particle blueprints between cruise and fuel gauges, with a course-plot radar, a route-risk dial and live fuel, distance, flight time, arrival and hazard numbers for the chosen ship. Launch returns to the map and flies the ship along the route; on arrival the destination becomes the new origin. Tabs, arrow keys, Esc, clicks and swipes all work, and phones get a simplified layout.
