scarpline

A one-screen survey dashboard for a fictional geology team mapping the Kyzyl-Tau massif. The whole window is a WebGL mountain made of about 300 000 fine glowing points, coloured by rock unit, gathered into broken contour lines and traced by brighter streams, with a dotted traverse route and eight sample markers on its slopes. Dark-glass panels float around it: pill menus, a view rail, zoom and compass, a layer bar and three panels for the rock units, the traverse with its elevation profile, and a live probe. Hover the terrain and the points under the crosshair light up while the probe reads elevation, slope, aspect and rock; hover a marker to open its sample card with a hatched core column and add it to the traverse, which redraws the route and the profile. Faults draw in as marching red dashes, a click sends a scan pulse across the points, and dragging orbits the camera. It opens with the terrain rising out of a low plate as the points reveal from the summit down.
