first light

A website for a winter painting exhibition, "Aubade Hall presents First Light". The hero draws itself as a pencil sketch on warm paper: cloud outlines with hatched shadows, line-drawn doves, handwritten notes and the outlined title, while a card counts "Sketching 1%" to 99. Then the cursor becomes a paintbrush: hold and drag and every stroke wipes the paper away to show the painted sky underneath, with dry-brush edges. Once about a third of the screen is painted (or you press "Paint it for me") the sunrise blooms across the rest, the title fills in tall condensed type, the doves start to fly, the clouds drift and the badge turns; "Repaint" brings the sketch back. Below: twelve works that paint themselves in as they scroll into view, the twelve painters as a list that washes each row with its sky on hover, visiting details and a painted-sky footer. Everything is drawn in code on canvas and SVG: no images. With a phone layout.
