A motion piece of a home-lighting app for the evening, on a 15-second loop. The interface is black and white, in Geist Light with large numbers in Instrument Serif, set in a graphite device frame; the only colour is the light itself. Each scene card is one soft radial glow of its light with a fine film grain and a glassy edge: Dusk at 2700K in amber, Studio at 5000K in white, Ember at 1900K in deep red, and the light inside each card slowly breathes. A virtual camera films it in 3D. It starts close and tilted: the cards rise in one after another, the living room's brightness counts up to 64% while its tick scale fills, the room bars fill, the colour swatches pop in and the Active tag appears on Dusk; the camera glides across to Studio, Ember and a new-scene card. It drops to Tonight, where the evening's brightness curve draws from warm to deep red, the scheduled scenes are marked and a now marker glides along the curve to 21:00. The clock turns 20:59 to 21:00 with a blur and Ember takes over: the Active tag moves, Dusk dims while Ember brightens, red light spills onto the black screen, the living room fades from 64% to 38% and from 2700K to 1900K, and the room levels follow. Then the camera levels out into the full, flat interface and the loop fades through black. Wide windows get a 16:9 frame; #sq in the URL, or any portrait window, gives a square 1:1 frame. Everything is HTML, CSS 3D transforms and inline SVG driven by one clock, with reduced motion showing the finished interface. Icons by Lucide (ISC).
