A full-window smart-home energy UI in black. An isometric cutaway of a one-floor home is drawn from tens of thousands of small points of light: walls with windows and doors, furniture and appliances. It builds up from its floor plan in a diagonal sweep while the live load counter climbs to the current total. Under the floor, wiring runs from the main panel in the hall to every device, and pulses travel along each wire at a speed that follows the device's power draw, white for light loads and amber over about 1 kW. Hover a room to highlight it and read its draw; click it and the camera moves in, its walls dissolve, its floor lights up and a glass panel lists its devices with live kW and a switch each. Switch a device off and its pulses slow and fade, its breaker lever drops and the totals count down (the air conditioners stop their airflow); switch it on and a pulse front runs out from the panel. Jump between rooms, or go back with Esc, the back link or a click on empty space. Phones and portrait tablets get a bottom sheet with the open room centred above it, and taps open rooms.
